Every quote also lists vault handling ($175), tamper-evident seals ($45 per package), an export permit ($125), customs brokerage ($275) and estimated import duty (5% of declared value). The two highest levels add an armed security escort ($250).
What happens after you book
The total you accept is the total you pay. From there, every step of the journey is written down.

Accept and book
You accept the itemized total. It is stored with your shipment and emailed to you.
Handovers logged
Each pickup, departure and arrival is recorded with the time and place, and emailed to sender and recipient.
Delivered
Delivery is recorded. Your receipt shows the total you accepted, and nothing else.
Vault custody for gold, silver, platinum and palladium
Open an account, pass identity checks and submit a deposit request with the full fee schedule in front of you. Every deposit is weighed, tested and recorded at intake.

- Government-issued photo ID
- A recent proof of address
- Evidence of where the metal came from, such as a purchase invoice
The price you accept is the price you pay
Four commitments that apply to every booking and every vault deposit.
Fixed at booking
Your total comes from the published rate card and is locked when you accept it. No hold, release or clearance fees are added later.
Every handover logged
Pickups, departures and arrivals are recorded with the time and place, and each update is emailed to you.
Private by default
A tracking number shows status and route only. Addresses, contacts and declared values are shown to the account that booked.
Vault fees in writing
Storage, intake, assay, insurance and release fees are listed on the deposit form before you submit it.
If anyone asks you to pay to release a shipment, don't.
We never ask for release, clearance or hold fees after booking. Forward the message to admin@aegiscargo.org and we will look into it.
